Being a foster family in Brazil means offering a temporary, safe home to a child or teenager removed from their family of origin under a protection measure. Families go through selection, training and ongoing support; knowing how to act in an emergency — with current first-aid and CPR skills — is part of that preparation.
急救要求
In Brazil, the Serviço de Acolhimento em Família Acolhedora is part of the social-assistance system and is governed by the Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA) and national technical guidelines. Volunteer families go through assessment, initial training and ongoing support. There is no national rule requiring a first-aid certificate, but first aid is a recurring training topic and several municipalities offer specific training to foster families.
Training and supervision are handled by the municipal service's technical team, with oversight from the public prosecutor's office. First-aid and CPR training is in addition to — not a replacement for — the suitability assessment and the caregiving skills required, and it should be kept up to date.
